Look Back in Anger (2nd year)

Synopsis

A greek version of the classic play staged in Athens during the 2021-2022 theatre season.

Friendships, secrets, humor & passion are some of the reasons to look back in the apartment of Jimmy & Alison.

Look Back In Anger is the work of a 26-year-old debutant, John Osborne, which had its world premiere on 8-5-1956 - nearly seventy years ago - at the Royal Court Theater in London and was rightly described as "the mine that blew up theatrical reality". with its pieces falling back into a land that would never be the same again. "

With a revolutionary speech, with monumental roles for twenty actors, of a generation at a point of social explosion, the play speaks with a direct, raw, but also tender and unexpectedly poetic speech about sex, class warfare, religion, politics, the press , the nostalgia for the lost identity of a homeland, and -all of all- in a way unprecedented for its completely unpretentious simplicity, momentum, truth and authenticity. It is a global project and, therefore, beyond its time and limitations
